The former cells of the Old Courthouse have been transformed into small single bedrooms which are available for visitors for short periods. In fact, only 4 (four) cells are available for guests so please book well in advance.
As a Buddhist centre, we expect our guests to abide by the Five Buddhist Precepts:
1. Not to kill any being and not to eat meat or fish in our facilities
2. Not to steal
3. Not to lie
4. No sexual activity
5. Not to smoke or take intoxicants, alcohol or drugs, or be under the influence of them while at Jamyang.
At the same time, please use headphones, no music or audio are allowed in the cells. Guests should be very mindful of those trying to do their practice or sleep in the evenings, especially after 10.00 pm.
The current price of a single cell is £35/night for visitors, £30/night for those attending Jamyang courses/retreats, and £25/night for Friends of Jamyang, including:
- Continental breakfast ( organic bread baked in Kennington, whole milk, soya milk, cereals, tea and coffee)

It is the centre policy not to accept booking for accommodation for people under the age of 18.
Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate children under 16.
A deposit of one nights’ accommodation is required to confirm your booking which can be paid by card over the phone or by deposit into our bank account.
Our check-in time is between 12.00pm and 9.00 pm.
Include a shared bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and wi-fi.
Guests are able to meditate in the temples and use the Library if available.
We don’t offer a laundry facility, but there is a launderette nearby.
In the event of a cancellation up to 7 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival a refund will be given.
If you cancel your reservation within 7 days of the scheduled date of arrival a cancellation fee of one nights’ accommodation will be made.
